I love birthdays and was tickled pink to begin a fresh new decade of life in my happy place! When planning my Disney birthday I had a few “wishes”. I wanted to spend special one one one time with my hubby and both of our girls, and also sweet time all together as a family. So, I planned a breakfast date with my husband, a lovely lunch with my youngest, and a mom/daughter dessert date with my firstborn. We also enjoyed a celebratory family dinner at one of my all-time favorite restaurants on Disney property, Raglan Road!
Ready to hear more sweet deets from this unforgettable Disney day? :) Fantastic, because I can't wait to share! . . .

My 40th Birthday
My birthday began with a card from my parents that my oldest daughter snuck in her luggage. It was very thoughtful that they wanted to be part of my milestone birthday via a card from "back home".
I decided to split my birthday between my two favorite parks. First up, Epcot!
Our first ride during extra magic hours was one of my faves, Soarin'!
Next we visited Nemo and friends.
Breakfast time! Jason and I headed to our favorite Epcot breakfast spot, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France pavilion for a delightful and delicious date!
That's chocolate hazelnut inside by the way - Yum!
Our fantastic food and sweet time together made for one of my favorite birthday breakfasts ever!
Afterward the girls met us back in France and we took a couple photos in front of the pretty pavilion.
From there we made our way to Norway to ride Frozen Ever After.
In keeping with the space theme we boarded Spaceship Earth next...
We love this girl and her yellow tights. :)

If you’ve been around here for a bit you may remember that “Little One” and I have a tradition of enjoying a mom/daughter meal together at Yorkshire County Fish Shop each trip. This vacation we thought my birthday would be the best day to enjoy that sweet one on one time together! The fish and chips here are so scrumptious and our time together was even better!
While we were dining waterside in the UK, the other half of our family grabbed their favorite Food and Wine Festival dish in China. Then we all met up in Japan.
I couldn't resist snapping her pic in front of the Rilakkuma as she collects Rilakumma plush and adds to her collection with each WDW trip.
We always enjoy a visiting the kawaii cute culture exhibit in Japan ...it's cute!
While in Japan, both of my cuties picked up some souvenirs. One got a variety of her favorite candy (which she thoroughly enjoyed before having her braces put on)! The other got such a beautiful souvenir that has been put to use many times since!
Souvenirs that can be useful in everyday life and for years to come are the best!
Before wrapping up the birthday fun in Epcot I made a pit stop in Mexico for my favorite Disney drink, a mango margarita from Choza de Margarita.
Vacation perfection on a blazing hot day in the Sunshine State!
Ferry boat time!
Now on to my other favorite park, Magic Kingdom!
We began our time in Magic Kingdom with a double dose of cuteness, Mickey's PhilharMagic and It's a Small World.
On to some MK faves, Haunted Mansion and Pirates!
I couldn't have asked for a better day in two of my favorite parks with my three favorite people!
With full hearts and tummies we made our way back to the resort for a bit of a break before dinner.
Since celebrating Thanksgiving 2017 at Raglan Road it's become a fast favorite for our entire family! I couldn't think of a better place to celebrate my BIG 4-0!
A birthday burger, please and thank you!
Here's Jason's favorite dish, It's Not Bleedin' Chowder. "Little One" ordered chicken and "Princess" had a burger like her mama.
This pic of Jason shows the great view we had of the stage where a live band and Irish dancers perform in the evenings. Their shows are a big part of why we love this place! It's such a fun and jubilant atmosphere and the food is fantastic too!
I didn’t get any snapshots of the live entertainment, but we did get plenty of video footage! I will include a link at the end of this post to this week’s Eat, Sleep, Dis, Repeat video where you can see all the fun in action! The live band even played Coldplay (one of my all-time favorites) for the Irish dancers to dance to! It felt like they knew it was my birthday and were making it absolutely perfect in every way. ;)
After dinner, “Princess” and I planned a mom/daughter dessert date at Ghirardelli right there in Disney Springs. As we exited Raglan Road there was a storm moving into the area. We decided to make a dash for the ice cream shop and then run the desserts back to our vehicle so we wouldn’t get stuck out in the rain.
I went with a simple chocolate malt as I was incredibly full after all the celebratory indulgence throughout the day. Ha!
My sweet and her favorite minty sweet treat!
I sat in the back with my girl, so even though we didn’t technically have as much one on one time as we anticipated we still enjoyed our treats together and chatted about our fun night.
I could not have asked for a better birthday! I'm so grateful to God for the life He's given me, this family I adore, and all the memories we've made together that we'll cherish forever! Thanks for being here today to read about a Disney day that I'll never forget!
