Day 3 - Saturday, November 25, 2017 // Part 2
After an absolutely wonderful morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom we made our way to the buses for an afternoon break at our resort.
When we arrived back at our room we noticed that housekeeping hadn't made it there yet, but was getting close. We decided to grab our rapid refill mugs, get some drinks, and go hang out by the pool. While there Little One decided to make that afternoon's complimentary pool side craft, a pirate hat. Free fun is always fantastic! As she crafted I enjoyed chatting with cast member who was assisting with the craft. She was there working in Disney's College Program. It is so neat to see people living their dream of working for and living at Walt Disney World and the joy they have in spreading magic to guests! We had a delightful chat and a cute hat was created in the process.
We strolled back to our room to find that it hadn't been serviced quite yet. I decided to use this time to snap some pics of our section of the resort in all its Broadway themed cuteness!
After a little refresh time we were back in line to board a Disney bus to Epcot for the night!
Two Dinners for Two
We decided we'd like different things for dinner which allowed for both a sister dinner date as well as a dinner date for my hubby and I! We walked the girls over to the American pavilion where they'd dine at Liberty Inn.
Burger and fries and chicken breast nuggets and fries for my American cuties!
Meanwhile, Jason and I headed over to Japan for a lantern lit dinner for two at Katsura Grill.
While Jason and Princess have come here quite a bit over the years, it was always when I was having a mother/daughter lunch date with Little One in the UK pavilion. So, this was my first time eating here. I loved it! It was absolutely delicious and the setting at night was quite beautiful as well!
I have a thing for Disney cups, especially their holiday themed ones!
Not the greatest pic in low lighting, but here is a peek at my Chicken and Beef Teriyaki served with steamed rice and a mix garden salad. Delish!
Jason and his green tea ice cream, it may sound odd but even though I'm not a fan of tea I sampled a sweet spoonful and found it to be yummy too!
Our girls headed over to Japan to meet back up with us and I requested a quick date night pic.
Now for the real reason the girls wanted to come to Japan, Mitsukoshi, our hands down favorite place to shop in Epcot's World Showcase!
They have so many fun Japanese goodies, as well as unique flavors of familiar candies!
Little One debating whether this bear should come home with her ... stay tuned in future trip reports to see if she chose this as one of her fun Japanese souvenirs.
After shopping, we headed to the Mexico pavilion for one final ride for the night, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros!
Goodnight, "Epcot Ball"! Another magical day in the books! I'll never forget this one, the first time we stepped foot in Pandora, soared on the back of a banshee, soaked up the surroundings on a Na'vi River Journey, tried so many new scrumptious snacks, sips, and entrees, and had a romantic dinner date while my girls enjoyed some sister time alone in the parks! It was all so wonderful! Disney memories are the best! I look forward to sharing more with you same time, same place, next week! Hope you'll be back for more Disney deets then, friends!

I'd like to quickly share about a shift in how I'll be replying to comments going forward. Blogger has stopped sending out email notifications when new comments are received. This means I can no longer click "reply" and easily respond back to you personally via email. I'm a bit sad about that as I've so enjoyed the email interactions following comments left here (by all except those who had their account set as a "no-reply blogger"). Since this change I've been debating how best to reply to the sweet comments I so enjoy receiving here. I've decided that from now on I will reply to all comments right here directly on the blog post. I do understand that this is not as convenient for you as a commenter as it requires you to return to the post later to see the response or click "notify me" below the comment box to have all future comments left on the blog post (including, but not limited to my own) emailed to you. Yet, this seems the best, uniform way to respond to all comments going forward. Please know, I truly appreciate each and every comment I receive! I hope you will continue to leave them, knowing that you will find a response here on the blog from now on.
Also, don't forget to check out the video footage from this day at my family's YouTube Channel,

Update on my trip plans - we rearranged days and now I do have a fast pass for Navii River Journey! Yay! I love Epcot in the evening. That's really cute that you separated for dinner date nights. The Japan store is awesome, and I love the Mexico ride too!
ReplyDeleteHooray for your Na'vi River Journey FP! One of my favorite things about Disney Parks is that there's always something new to experience each trip. I hope you enjoy it! So excited for you with your upcoming trip! I can't wait to hear about it when you return!
DeleteOh, how I LOVE Epcot!!! What a perfect ending to a perfectly magical day! <3
ReplyDeleteMe too!! It really was a perfect ending to another delightful Disney day in the "books"! Thanks so much for popping by to read it! ;)
DeleteThe new commenting problems have really been a hassle. I just switched over to Disqus, so I'll see how that works out. I love your Disney wrap ups. That resort looks so fun...I missed which one it is? That's such a fun idea to switch things up a little for dinner.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more, friend! I've considered switching to Disqus too. I'd love to hear what you think of it after you've used it for a bit. We were staying at Disney's All-Star Music Resort during this part of our trip. The Broadway section was so fun! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! It's always a joy to hear from you, Tanya!
DeleteI just love, love, love Disney posts. I been so incredibly busy and I think I may have missed 1 or 2 of your posts, I am going to have to remember to go back when I have some time to read them. I love that the two sisters had dinner together and you and your husband had a date night! I will need to remember that when Autumn is just a little bit older. My daughter loves any free craft she can find at Disney. And, don't you hate when they don't clean your room till WAYYY late? That seems to happen to us wherever we stay, Disney or Cancun... or wherever! LOL!

Thanks, friend! Disney posts are so much fun to share too! :) This was the first WDW trip we parted ways with our girls for a bit. It was fun for them and for Jason and I as well to split up for those dinner dates! When your kiddos are older I think your sweet family would enjoy it too! :) YES, that does seem to happen a lot, doesn't it? lol! Just gotta make the best of it when it does! Ha!
DeleteHow fun that the sisters had a dinner date too! Now I'm anxious to renew our Disney annual passes! <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
Thanks, Kate! I love that our dinner dates that night allowed for a fun memory for my girls (and for my hubby and I too)! Hooray for your upcoming WDW annual pass renewal! Living locally + AP ... you're living the dream, my sweet friend! :D
DeleteI love exploring the Japan store! I haven't eaten at the restaurant though! I love the Christmas themed cups! So glad you were able to have date night! What a fun blessing!
ReplyDeleteIsn't Mitsukoshi such a fun shop?! Love it! Katsura Grill is so good! If you're ever looking for a quick service meal while in World Showcase on a future trip, it's definitely worth checking out! I love that you understand my love of those Christmas cups. :) Disney magic is in the details and I love them all! lol! Date night is always a great night...having it at Disney just makes it even more memorable! :) Thanks so much for the fun comment, Kasey!
