Happy Friday, friends! Hope you've enjoyed a wonderful week! I can't wait to share a handful of happiness from mine with you now...
One // Health
After what has felt like one of the longest winters of my lifetime with ongoing health issues for my family, we are all feeling so much better! *Insert happy dance here* Jason has battled a chronic cough for the past 14 weeks. This sent him to the doctor multiple times for full exams including chest x-rays, yet through all their tests they were unable to pinpoint the cause. He went through five types of prescriptions, spent some time on sick leave, and honestly there were moments when (without trying to sound overdramatic) we weren't sure he was going to come out the other side of this. I am beyond thrilled to report that this week he has barely coughed, is breathing well, sleeping better, and physically looks healthier than he has in months! I'd like to extend another heartfelt thank you to each of my caring family members, dear, sweet blogging friends, and treasured readers who have sent well wishes, prayer support, and care over the past several weeks! You are all such a sweet joy in my life! I praise God for each of you!
Two // A Taste of Springtime
We have finally thawed out here and got a taste of the lovely season to come! (Is anyone else tickled pink that spring is officially here next week?! YAY!) Little One and I soaked up the sunshine during a sweet walk and talk to a nearby park. I can hardly wait to spend a lot more time outside in the fresh air taking in some good old fashioned Vitamin D throughout the sunnier seasons straight ahead!
Three // A Score on Summer Seating
Four // A Pi(e) Day Surprise
My husband took advantage of a deal on a jumbo pie from one of our favorite pizzerias on 3.14 ("pi(e) day") this week. When he returned home from work with a hot, scrumptious supper (which meant no cooking for me and more time with my family) I was one happy girl!
WDW Best Day Ever brought another excuse for deliciousness to our attention this week too, National Potato Chip Day! Their YouTube channel shared a variety of Disney inspired themed recipes. I happened to have the ingredients for their Fantasmic! Flickerin' Flame chips. The recipe transformed the plain Baked Lays I had in my cupboard into a completely different snack with a kick! Find the recipe details in this video.

ReplyDeleteSo glad your husband is feeling better finally! Yesterday it was almost 80 here! We all sat outside and the kids drew everywhere with chalk and it was so nice!
ReplyDeleteSend some of that spring weather here!! Haha. :-) So happy to hear that everyone is feeling better, that is wonderful news! I hope that you and your family have a fun weekend! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am sooo happy Jason and you all are on the other side of this, been worried about you. I love the antigravity chairs at Kohls, what a deal! Lots of love and hugs to you sweet friend, enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteSO glad to hear the "official" word on the blog that Jason is doing better! That's an answer to prayer for sure! Love the deal you scored on that lawn chair, what a steal. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo glad everyone is finally well! I'm SOOO ready for spring, especially with the weather today! Happy Weekend, sweetest friend!
ReplyDeleteGlad your hubby is feeling better- I'm sure it was so scary! That pie looks like the yummiest way to celebrate. Yay for spring weather too!
ReplyDeleteThat chair looks really comfortable! I'm so glad that hear that your husband is finally doing better. My Mom had the same problem, with having a cough for months, but in her case it was her asthma making her cold worse.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you are all feeling better! Especially your hubby! I had Bronchitis in December and was as sick as a dog for a week so him having to endure a cough/illness for weeks on end with no relief sounds awful. 65 degrees? Sounds wonderful! I think the warmest it got here this week was around 50 but I'll take the sunshine regardless! I'm going to check out that chip recipe. They look delish! Have a great weekend, Brenda!
ReplyDeleteWe made our own pizza pies for pie day (with a chocolate pie for dessert!)... And yet I can not believe we somehow missed national chip day! Weather- wise, we got a huge snowstorm with over a foot and a half of snow so spring still feels pretty far away.
ReplyDeleteYAY! I am so glad your hubby's cough is gone. SO glad! What a scary ordeal to go through for such a long time. I didn't know there was such a thing as a National Potato Chip day. Yummy!! Nathan had a Pi Day celebration in his Math class at school and I got him an Apple pie (from Walmart... not homemade.. lol!) to bring.
