Happy Friday, friends! I hope the past week has been a lovely one for you! Ours has been one to remember! I can't wait to share some of the sweetest bits with you today! Five Loves time!
One // Fun with Fabulous Family Friends!
Two things I can never get enough of are time with dear family friends and donuts! When some of your favorite people make an hour drive to visit and bring a box full of deliciousness with them, you know it's going to be a beautiful day!
Our day was spent gaming, laughing, painting, chowing, chatting, and celebrating. As Rapunzel would say, "Best Day Ever!"
This candid shot captures our time together beautifully! Oh the joy of friendship!
Two // Brown Paper Packages Tied up with Pink Strings, These are a few of my Favorite Things!
My sweet friend Nikki is incredibly thoughtful and enormously generous! Not only did she bring those delicious donuts, she also came baring (just because) gifts! The packaging alone was a real treat! Look at how beautifully hand decorated each one was! She definitely has a knack for making those dear to her feel special!
Take a peek inside . . .
Needless to say I'm thoroughly enjoying each of these goodies!
They didn't forget about the girls! They both received packages of their favorite sweet treats too! Thoughtful friends are the best!
Three // Celebrating a Special Boy's Special Day!
While our friends were here we celebrated a very special occasion, their son's birthday! They brought a treat that the Birthday Boy's culinarily talented dad baked up, an incredible chocolate layer, chocolate frosted, Disney birthday cake! It was topped with an M&M Mickey and adorned with the initials of every member of both of our families, in all of our favorite colors! Personalized scrumptiousness at it's best!
Happy Birthday Week to one of the nicest boys we know! :)
Four // Let's Go Fly a Kite!
What makes a dreary, slightly windy day at the end of a long winter tolerable and even fun? A new kite and a kiddo who can hardly wait to fly it!
Singing "Happy Birthday" to this amazing teen we adore, and celebrating him with forkfuls of sweetness was most definitely a highlight of our week!
Four // Let's Go Fly a Kite!
What makes a dreary, slightly windy day at the end of a long winter tolerable and even fun? A new kite and a kiddo who can hardly wait to fly it!
March is for kite flying ...and singing Mary Poppins' songs! ;)
We enjoyed such a lovely evening at a nearby lake, kite flying, walking and talking, and soaking up these precious moments with the three dearest to my heart!
And, I saved the sweetest milestone of the week for last...
Five // Look Who Got Her Driver's Permit!!!
Being that Princess' birthday is just before wintertime she always said she'd wait until spring when the weather was nice and the roads were clear to take her driver's permit test and begin learning to drive. With springtime approaching she decided to download the driving guide and begin studying. The very next day she starting taking practice tests and scored 100% each time. Yesterday, less than 48 hours of downloading that driving manual, she was off to take the test! She got a perfect score, and her dad took her straight from the DMV for her first driving lesson! When I asked her what she thought of it, she called driving "easy and fun"! That's my perfectionist daughter, doing well from the get go, taking good instruction from her incredibly patient and loving daddy!
I'm so proud that my heart could burst, but still wish there was a way to slow this whole "growing up" thing down! Seeing the bright and delightful, determined and responsible young lady she's growing to become makes it a little easier to handle though.
Feel free to congratulate my sweet daughter in the comments section below! ;)
