*This week's loves will be listed chronologically. :)
1. Mommy/Daughter Saturday-te
{a day date with my littlest sweetie}
We started at home watching "Alice in Wonderland" while celebrating our unbirthdays with donuts covered in chocolate frosting, and of course, LOTS of sprinkles!
We reminisced about our last visit with Alice...
{read more about that meeting in this Disney World trip report}
When Alice woke from her charming dream, Little One and I headed out for an afternoon of shopping. She spotted her "new favorite shoes", some clear sparkly jelly sandals, each topped with a sweet bow! What made them even better was the price tag, only $4.88! (You may catch a glimpse of them on her twinkling toes in the Easter snapshots below. ;)) After finding her fancy new footwear, we enjoyed taking our time choosing gifts for our Aunt Ann's birthday. (More on that later!)
Shopping works up in appetite!
Little One requested Taco Bell and proceeded to eat a burrito bigger than she is. Between bites we chatted about anything and everything under the sun! This girl likes to talk as much as her mommy does, so it makes for really fun one on one time together! :)
Library Love
With full tummies and happy hearts we swung back home to add our other favorite girl, Princess, to the mix, and made a beeline for the library. We checked out movies, games, and books to enjoy in the coming weeks. So thankful we have such a great library nearby!
Speaking of the library, if you haven't checked it out before, I highly recommend the OverDrive app!
It allows you to check out eBooks and audiobooks from your local library. Once you've chosen one (or two, or three) you can read/listen/enjoy on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod for free! I've enjoyed a few audiobooks this week while feeling too sick to focus on reading a book myself. It's been so nice to just rest, close my eyes, and let the authors read to me!
2. Celebrating Our Savior // Easter 2015
"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet he live" - John 11:25 // NeedGod.com
The girls with their Grandma Lou Ann // Jason, the girls & their Grandpa Kevin // The girls with their Great Grandma Nancy
That morning we were thrilled to spot Jason's parents and grandma across the sanctuary! It was such a nice surprise to have them worship with us that beautiful morning!
3. Celebrating with Family
As I entered my aunt and uncle's kitchen I commented how much I love days when all my favorite people are gathered together in one place! Between celebrating with Jason's side of the family earlier in the day, then joining together with my side, it was such a sweet day spent with many of the people we treasure most!
My Aunt Ann and Cousin Emily have always put together the most fantastic table settings for Easter! This year was no exception. While the kitchen was filled with the wonderful aroma of a delicious lunch prepared for our family, the dining area overflowed with a festive feast for our eyes!
Here is a peek at their fabulous tables! How darling are those peeps in lit'l twinkiemobiles?! The cupcakes were nearly too lovely to eat, yet too delicious to resist! I adored every last detail of what they lovingly put together for our family to enjoy!
Here are a few more snaps of my girlies having fun with their cousins...
4. Celebrating my Aunt Ann's Birthday
Monday was a milestone birthday for my Aunt Ann. My mom had the sweet idea of surprising her the day before, with a lit'l celebration after lunch on Easter. She baked a cake in one of my aunt's favorite flavors and decorated the table where she sat with Disney balloons. We sang, wishes were made, and gifts given. It's always so special celebrating those dear to our hearts!
We decided to forgo a traditional gift bag. Instead, Little One had a ball decorating a tote bag with some fabric markers and a dash of Disney magic! Here's a closer look at the cuteness...
Ann texted me that night saying she planned to bring her bag to school with her the next day. A few days later she sent me a snapshot of the sweet kids in her class checking out her birthday bag. The smiles on their faces made my week!
5. h a p p y m a i l
My favorite happy mail this week was a bag that I scored such a GREAT deal on through Kohl's site!
I have been loving bags I've noticed lately pairing leather and crochet lace! When I found some great Kohl's coupon codes I thought I'd see if they had any. I found a bag so perfect for this time of year, in fact, it's called the April Crochet Floral Convertible Tote! Check out the deal I scored on it!
It was originally $64, marked down to $36.99. (It has since went up in price. Thankful for the timing of my purchase!) Adding in codes for $10 off $30 or more, 30% off and free shipping when using Kohl's card, plus $10 Kohl's Cash I'd earned from their Yes2You Rewards program, it came down to just $12.72 shipped!!! WOOHOO!!! I LOVE a bargain ...and a new bag! ;)
The mailman also delivered a few more additions to the girls' Disney World wardrobes this week!
"Touched By Magic" tee {no longer available} // "Always Up For Adventure!" tee // "Summer Dreaming" tee // The Little Mermaid tank
MORE BARGAINS! Taking an additional 30% off sale prices, we were able to get this tank for $6.06, and the tees for $3.25 each! Can't wait to see my sweeties sporting this wearable Disney magic in WDW later this year!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today! Wishing you a fabulous upcoming weekend!
