Up where they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun, wanderin' free, here are ways for Ariel to be part of your vacation at Disney World!
Where to Rest Your Land Legs
Disney's Art of Animation Resort
The Closest Thing to Atlantica on Land
As soon as Disney announced their plans to build the Art of Animation Resort with The Little Mermaid rooms, my lifelong Ariel fan could hardly wait to stay there! If you have (or are yourself) a fan of this flick, this is the perfect place to stay and play!
The Who's-its and What's-its of a Little Mermaid Room...
See more on our time at Disney's Art of Animation Resort in WDW Day 1 and WDW Day 2 of my Trip Report blog series. You'll also see us out and about enjoying this resort at my husband's YouTube channel, Eat, Sleep, Dis, Repeat, in videos from Day 1 and Day 2 of our recent Disney vacation!

Fin-tastic Fashion
Both Princess and Little One have worn this Ariel costume to Akershus over the years. It's always fun to dress for the occasion when dining with royalty! The Little Mermaid themed mouse ears are a seariffic accessory we spotted in Mouse Gear.

If you can't land a reservation at Akershus, you can swim on over to Magic Kingdom and pay the princess a visit at Ariel's Grotto.

*You'll see Ariel 3:50 into this video
What better way to end a day a Disney day {or a Disney blog post} than with my personal favorite, Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios!
I adore The Dis' video of the "Glow with the Show" Fantasmic! Debut at Disney's Hollywood Studios! You'll see The Little Mermaid represented at 6:32 in bubbles on the fountain spray, 12:50 on a float, and from the second level of the steamboat around 24:40 into the video.
Have a magical day, friends!

I have a friend who loves this movie and even named her daughter Ariel. I'll have to share with her :)
ReplyDeleteOk now I have "Part of Your World" stuck in my head :-) The Little Mermaid was my favorite growing up! What a great post! Again, I'm saving it for when I have kids. Your girls are adorable in their Little Mermaid shirts, hats and dresses! Love this!
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at making Disney themes! I love it! I watched The Little Mermaid all the time as a kid but had to turn it off before Ursula got all scary. I sing the songs to Aria all the time. I wonder what Disney movie she will grow up with as a fave. She already loves Frozen. We don't have any of the classics on DVD so clearly we need to change that!
ReplyDeleteUm I had no idea Little Mermaid rooms even existed! The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast are my two favorite Disney movies of all time. (although it is hard to choose a favorite) I need to get my butt down to Disney World (or land) soon, it has been too long since I have been.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love how much effort you put into compiling these amazing posts--Little Mermaid happens to be my favorite Disney film of all time. Awesome update!
ReplyDeleteLove this!! I WAS the little mermaid and that was all I wanted to be in my adulthood as well hahaha (that and own 101 dalmations!)
