Trip Report Tuesday // WDW Day 17 {The Farewell Character Breakfast}

The day has come to say goodbye to Walt Disney World!  {Insert tears here.} ...but first, we'll enjoy a fun farewell character breakfast at 'Ohana!  I look forward to bringing you along via this trip report, sharing all about our final of 17 days at WDW, and filling you in on what's to come!

Day 17 - Saturday, October 5, 2013

'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast
Disney's Polynesian Resort

Lilo and Stitch is one of Little One's favorite Disney movies.  Since meet and greets with these characters are rare in the Parks, having this one on one time with them made for an exciting morning!  She invited her (plush) friends to join us for the "Best Friends Breakfast".

We love Disney's gorgeous Polynesian Resort!  It was the perfect place to hang loose and treat our tummies to a fabulous farewell breakfast!

"Ohana means family."

Although 'Ohana has been a long time family favorite, this was our first time dining here during breakfast.  It ended up being one of my favorite character meals of the trip!  We enjoyed fantastic service (quite the opposite of our experience here earlier in the trip), the beautiful hawaiian atmosphere, and time with a few of our favorite characters!

The food was basic Disney breakfast fare, with the addition of some scrumptious breakfast bread, and their delicious Lilikoi Juice!

Breakfast served family style:  Hua Paka - scrambled eggs,  Uala Kahiki - fried potatoes,  Pua'a - pork: breakfast sausage links & smoked bacon,  Mickey shaped waffles,  assorted breakfast breads, and seasonal fruit.  ...It was all delicious!

Our time with the characters was delightful!  Lilo and her mischievous pet, Stitch, had great time playing around with the dolls Little One brought along!

It's always sad to see a highly anticipated trip that you've spent so much time meticulously planning and have thoroughly enjoyed, come to an end.  I'm so glad that we reserved this character meal as our "farewell breakfast".  It helped to ease that last day sadness.  We enjoyed looking back at our trip and talking about our favorite moments over Mickey waffles and hugs from Mickey himself.  It was a beautiful way to end this amazing vacation!

Teary Eyes & Goodbyes
Now it's time to say goodbye
To all our company our Disney vacation
M-I-C, See you real soon
K-E-Y, Why?  Because we like you
M-O-U-S-E

The hardest part of any Disney vacation, boarding that Magical Express bus that's airport bound.

A bite to eat before flying home, some in flight Disney fun, and realizing that we're back home in the midwest! Time to bundle up!

What's next?

Over the past 17 weeks it has been a joy to bring you along on our magical adventures throughout Walt Disney World via these trip reports!  Although I've now shared stories and photos from each day of our trip, Trip Report Tuesday is not concluding today, friends!  In the weeks to come, I will continue to share more from our trip.  Rather than focusing on a particular day, my future posts will bring you tips, detailed reviews, and ideas for your next trip to the World!

I've so appreciated each comment from all of you who have followed this series!  It was a treat to relive our trip in this way, and so fun to bring fellow Disney fanatics a much needed Disney fix each week!  I hope you'll continue to visit each Tuesday for more Disney magic!
