Day 7 - Wednesday, September 25, 2013
Donald's Safari Breakfast!
If you've read my "Choosing the Perfect Disney Character Meal for Your Family" post, you know that we're crazy about Tusker House's Jungle Juice. YUM! {I shared the recipe here ;)} Even more than the atmosphere and deliciousness, we enjoy the rare opportunity to see Little One's favorite, Daisy Duck! Normally they invite children to grab a maraca and dance around the tables with Donald's gal, but sadly this trip they did not. I asked our server about it and she said they were behind that morning so there'd be no dancing. Part of me still regrets not telling the cast member that it's one of the main reasons we make reservations there. Little One adores Daisy Duck and you don't often see her in the parks. Shaking her tail feathers with Ms. Duck is normally one of the highlights of the trip, and these kiddos only stay small enough to want to dance with Daisy for so long. In any case, she, Donald, Mickey, and Goofy did make their way to our table, in their safari duds (of course ;)).

On Safari!
Next we headed off on an expedition {aka: my favorite ride, Expedition Everest!}
Queue goodness telling the story of the adventure ...and the YETI!
Cutest. Yeti. Ever!
Finding Nemo - The Musical
This is my all-time FAVORITE Disney musical stage show! I highly recommend it if you visit AK!
It's fast! It's a blast! It's in the past! DINOSAUR!
Her Yeti {hat} will protect her from the dino, right?! ;)
Animal Kingdom PhotoPass time!
Then, back to the resort for a nap ...and a wardrobe change! If you haven't noticed I coordinate our outfits with each other and in theme with the Disney Park, or table service restaurant where we'll be dining. That evening we had reservations in Magic Kingdom for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, so it was time to get a lit'l more patriotic! ;)
Magic Kingdom PhotoPass time!

Amusing ourselves ... :)
We have a little too much fun being silly together! :)
Time for some rides!
Jason is clearly concentrating on becoming a Galactic Hero! Little One's expression totally cracks me up!

A magical end to a magical day...
I sure do wish my sidewalk at home was covered in gorgeous glowing "pixie dust" too! ;)
It was such fun sharing details of day 7 with you all today! This will be the last Trip Report Tuesday of 2013, but I'll be back again after the new year to share the final 10 days of our Walt Disney World vaca! Hope to see you then!

We've eaten at Tusker House once, and it was before it became a Character dining. We'll have to try it out on our next trip, which btw will be January 2015!! It's a little over a year away but I am sooo excited already :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures & it looks like you are having a great time. I can not wait until my daughter is old enough to take her. I am joining you from the What I learned on Wednesday blog hop.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip! We have not been in years! The Animal Kingdom was opening a few months after we were there so we missed it. This makes me want to go again! You took awesome photos too!
ReplyDeleteLove those night-time pictures!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone, the pictures are awesome. We ate lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, never got to eat dinner there. The food looks wonderful especially the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese.
