Celebrating Independence Day with a Skinny Recipe Roundup!

Happy 4th of July, friends!  We interrupt the regularly scheduled "35 by 35!" weight loss challenge, to bring you a skinny holiday eats roundup!

I'm thrilled to share festive, mouthwatering recipe links with you on Independence Day!  However, these gorgeous eats aren't just for holiday get togethers.  Each would be a feast for the eyes, and delight to the taste buds of your guests, at any cookout or party you host throughout this beautiful Summer!

Without further ado, enjoy 4 recipes from Skinnytaste, Eat Yourself Skinny!, What's Cooking in the Burbs, and GreenLiteBites, four of my favorite sources for light foodie goodness!

In this video, Roni of GreenLiteBites shares a "Cheesy 4th of July Summer Snack" using strawberries, blueberries, and mini Babybel Light cheese!

Wishing you all a fabulous 4th!
Hope to see you back here next week for "35 by 35!"

  1. Thanks for this roundup, Brenda! How are you doing on your 35by35? It's slow going here, but I'm staying consistent with exercise(even bumping it up a bit) and logging my calories. I'm finding it significantly harder to lose weight after 40. Good for you for attacking it now. Keep up the good work!
Happy 4th of July, sweet friend!
    Blessings,

  4. And by the way, I went to the dreaded store (lol) and I actually bought some fruits and vegetables (I feel so grown up LOL) and even bought healthier snacks (veggie chips and nuts). Go me!

  5. Hope you had a fab day! We had so much fun and I didn't work one minute of the day which is a first in several Years.

I so wish I could just have one bite of any of those yummies!
